【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedforthemeasurementofgrossalpha-andbeta-activityconcentrationsintheanalysesofenvironmentalanddrinkingwaters.Thistestmethodisalsoapplicabletothedirectanalysisofgrossalpha-andbeta-activityconcentrationsinwaterwhenlowdetectionlimitsarenotrequired.Directanalysisprovidesarapidmethodfordeterminationofgrossalpha-andbeta-activityconcentrationswhenlowdetectionlimitsarenotrequired.Thistestmethodisnotcapableofdiscriminatingamongalphaemittingradionuclidesoramongbetaemittingradionuclides.Thoseintendingtoidentifyandquantifyspecificradionuclidesshouldusetestmethodsspecifictotheradionuclidesofinterest.Thistestmethodmaynotbecitedasamethodforthedeterminationofgrossalpha-orbeta-activityconcentrationsinasolid/soilmatrixortheaciddigestateofthesame.Theuseofthistestmethodforsuchapplicationsbringsthepotentialforseriousbiasandincomparabilityofresultsdependentonthemannerofsamplepreparationortreatment,orboth.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofgrossalpha-andbeta-activityconcentrationsinahomogeneouswatersample.Itisapplicabletoalphaemitterswithactivityconcentrationlevelsabove0.037Bq/L(1pCi/L)andbetaemitterswithactivityconcentrationlevelsabove0.15Bq/L(4pCi/L).Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletosamplescontainingradionuclidesthatarevolatileunderconditionsoftheanalysis.1.2Thistestmethodmayalsobeusedforthedirectmeasurementofgrossalpha-andbeta-activityconcentrationsinhomogeneouswatersampleswithalphaemitteractivityconcentrationlevelsabove1.8Bq/L(50pCi/L)andbetaemitteractivityconcentrationlevelsabove3.7Bq/L(100pCi/L).1.3Thistestmethodwastestedusingasingle-operatortest.Round-robintestingiscurrentlyinprogressonthistestmethod.1.4StandardmethodsunderthejurisdictionofASTMCommitteeD19maybepublishedforalimitedtimepreliminarytothecompletionoffullcollaborativestudyvalidation.SuchstandardsaredeemedtohavemetallotherD19qualifyingrequirementsbuthavenotcompletedtherequiredvalidationstudiestofullycharacterizetheperformanceoftheTestMethodacrossmultiplelaboratoriesandmatrices.Preliminarypublicationisdonetomakecurrenttechnologyaccessibletousersofstandards,andtosolicitadditionalinputfromtheusercommunity.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
